Mumbai: Legendary actor-director Manoj Kumar Funeral, fondly known as โBharat Kumarโ for his patriotic films, was cremated with full state honors at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The veteran filmmaker passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 87 following health issues.

Veteran writer Salim Khan, who collaborated with Kumar, attended alongside his son, actor-director Arbaaz Khan. Actors Rajpal Yadav, Prem Chopra, Raza Murad, and Dharmendra were also among the attendees mourning the loss.
Emotional scenes unfolded at his residence earlier as family members and loved ones bid a tearful farewell before the cremation ceremony.
Manoj Kumar Funeral leaves behind a significant legacy, having shaped the patriotic genre in Hindi cinema and directed acclaimed films like โUpkar,โ which won a National Film Award. His contributions were recognized with Indiaโs highest cinematic honor, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015, and the Padma Shri in 1992.
